I am keeping an ever watchful eye on social networks on where to spread our glorious Linux gaming news. Mastodon has caught my eye as it's open source and decentralized. Come join us on it.
For those that don't know: I recently added a livestream events page, to help people know when we are streaming. It was requested by a user and I thought it would be useful. I just today added the ability to add in streams from the community too.
Our user statistics page has been updated again, and it should now happen at the end of every month automatically.
Inspired by a feature request in our forums, and because it was interesting to implement, you can now use a 'signature image' of your pc details and username.
I have done another bunch of work on the User Stats Page to make it hopefully even more interesting.
We have a brand new server, one that's a little more costly (double+ cost in fact) but hopefully the server issues that have plagued us for the last few months will be a thing of the past.
I have recently adjusted the way subscribing to articles and forum posts works, to make it clearer and work as actually expected. Personal messages also got a minor bug fix.
After taking on some feedback along with refreshing the graph data today, the User Stats Page now has two different distributions graphs.
Since I am sick with Tonsillitis I decided to take a quick break from news and work on something else. Today I have updated the User Statistics Page and here's what's new.
Holy crap seven years is a long time to run a website, but I am still here and stronger than ever. Tonight is our very special co-op livestream.
I'm never one to shy away from patting my fellow Linux users on the back, so here it is *pats*. Thanks to the Linux gaming community and our own contributor BTRE, ZED by Eagre Games has passed the funding goal on Kickstarter.
If you would be so kind as to update your PC Info once again, there is now a Desktop Environment picker as requested.
Just to make sure that everyone is getting an unreasonable amount of big announcements today, I am making one of my own concerning the Friday Livestream and the So I Played... (previously GOL Cast) articles.
I have done some more work on the user statistics page tonight. I have now included an option to pick your resolution. I will do a regeneration soon once a few people have added theirs so it's not blank.
It may have taken me all evening to do, but that's an evening well spent. The Sales Page will now be importing sales from Steam.
I need help, I want your bright ideas on how to celebrate running this corner if the web for seven years. The official GOL birthday is the 5th of July.
I am pleased to show off a work-in-progress user statistics page that will form part of our new survey system.
I have been a little unhappy with how we have been doing our monthly survey for some time, so I am making some steps towards making a better one.
As per usual, the Friday Livestream will happen once again today. Make sure you are tuned to the Twitch channel for some live Linux gaming orchestrated by the chaos master himself, me that is.
I imagine everyone's had a joke-filled day today but do not worry, for the Friday Livestream will still be mostly on time and the level of professionality couldn't be lower. So, do make your way to your nearest web browser (with HTML5/Flash support) and you can join in on our Linux gaming livestream!
